I realised in the clear light of day that the original process of this was absolutely horrendous. The new version (especially since the original posting) is radically different so for once I am going to post an *updated* image.
It almost looks like the Sky has been split in two, what with the contrast between clouds.
Great definition on the clouds
Beautiful This makes me feel so good when I look at it Wonderful shot
wow. can't find the right words to discribe this wonderful pic
Those Are GOD Rays !
well seen and exposed.
The light clouds look like fire in sepia. If it weren't for the landscape in silhouette it would be hard to believe that this is Earth.
yeah, I do find that to be a problem with this image. Other than darkening the top left a bit and increasing the contrast of the rays, there arent many adjustments to this image and yet it doesnt quite look real!
A very well deserved mate.
Remarkable, and well derserving of a . The rays are of course excellent, but I also like the detail you've retained in the brighter parts of the clouds and the sharpness of the silhouettes.
Amazing, looks almost surreal
Amazing photo, Alex
It's just great
Does this mean I have to comment again?
no, it was mostly because this is so radically different from the first posting that people will no doubt feel this is more natural (and they would be right, its pretty much just contrast work and darkening of the top left cloud now) Thanks Jake
Excellent, beautiful, wonderful, amazing and any other superlatives you want me to add. I love it.
Yes, could you please add: incredible, mind-blowing, earth-shattering, astonishing, life-changing, momentous, epic, fascinating, historic, meaningful, memorable, pivotal, marvelous, stunning, unbeleivable, brilliant, dazzling, gorgeous, impressive, heavenly and dazzling.
Whenever I see those beams of light, I think of Charleton Heston in The Ten Commandments.
great shot, brent tor ??
well done photo!
Such a beautiful image!!
Absolutely amazing Alex! Beautiful light and the contrasting landscape is great too
