This is certainly one of the most spectacular views in Britain. The jagged spikes of rock exploding ot of the mountain are incredibly dramatic.
This was the shot that I made the trip to Snowdonia for. A scene I had shot in the summer (twice) and resolved to come back to.
I woke up in the morning with verything inside and outside my tent completely frozen (including food and water) but I knew as soon as I popped my head out of the tent and saw a flawless starry sky, that I was going to get my shot. Doing a hard hour long walk in the freezing cold and darkness on your own is one hell of a lot more enjoyable when you know youve got some great conditions to look forward to.
I may return to Castell y Gwynt at some point, but certainly for the time being my work here is done!
