I have never been in such as strong wind as up on Ger Tor on an otherwise perfect summers day. I am not exaggerating when I say that the wind was actually blowing my lips open when I relaxed them, it must have been 60 knots which was just nuts. There was no way that I could leave my tripod, it was just way too unstable, I had to hold it down whilst taking the shot.

I would be interested to hear opinions on this one.

Those clouds are ridiculous! I love them. Plus the chaos of the piece...the wind in the grass, the clouds are getting tossed about, and yet I still feel like I'm moving in one direction - forward. The colours are beautiful too. :heart:

Thanks very much. This is a personal favourite of mine, but it tends to be met with a relatively cold recption from the people I have shown it to who are not photographers :(

What?!?! Are people crazy? Seriously...it's a gorgeous capture. Though I suppose a lot of non-photographers who I've shown my work or the work of others whom I adore to don't seem to get as keyed up as I do over it...well, poo on them! I wouldn't feel the exhibition was complete without it, which, by the way, I wish I could come to, but the pond lies between us, and I have an awful lot of stuff to do this summer concerning university. Anywho. I adore this photo, so turn that frown upside 'round! :)

Whilst a focal point amongst the heather in the foreground would have perhaps perfected this shot, I still think it holds all that's needed for it to be stunning!
