I'm undecided between your two shots. I like the more realistic colour of yours and the less cluttered framing. However I like Orca's less-landscape format. I guess just a bit more sky would be enough. I do like the second cloud in Orca's frame, more sky gives it a bit more breadth.
Anyway, thumbs up!
Anyway, thumbs up!
Fantastic. I've not been up many hills in scotland but this is one
You've almost tempted me to go to Assynt in June now instead of Uist Wonderful scene. I'd be interested to know how you carried all your photography stuff up as well as the camping equipment? Something I've wondered about often
Strength and determination? I have a 65+10L pack. It all fits in. The camera is in a camera pounch and the lenses in separate lens pouches.
this is obviously excellent but I'm afraid I'm in the Jake camp too on this one mate!
I dont know why people keep saying that. I'm in the Jake camp too. Its not like I'm upset about it! He got a better shot
just sayin like, I didn't reckon you'd be upset it's just an obvious comparison to make given they're the same location at the same time
with that said, I definitely prefer your processing/blending of the sun area here..
Nice one, but I think Orca takes the cake from this location. I am wanting to see more FG in yours reflecting that epic sunlight. I do enjoy yours though, has a somewhat aerial feeling to it
Lovely scene Alex , makes me look forward to my next trip up norf
This is stunning....what an amazing place. Beautiful shot Alex
I prefer Jake's version, but this is nice, too.
yes Jakes is better. I was shooting a composition that never worked and I moved onto this one when I saw Jake had found the best comp! As for the processing I think mine is better, but compositionally Jake's is king
You show a brighter sky and colors that look more real, and so you have more details of the peak of Meall Meadonach. With yours I get the impression that it is more subtle. I was wondering if yours has less red, but thought I might be deceived by the more intense sky in Jake's picture. Why do you think your's is better? This reminds me of your idea to do a video tutorial for some donation. What did come out of it?
So good! Love the soft morning light and the view is spectacular.
Nice sight to witness, wish I were there.
where was this taken??
