I went camping with ~PastyGuy up Tavy Cleave to catch the heather. The conditions were mixed but we both came away with shots we were happy with.

Minor editing in lightroom (gradient filter and WB adjustment to 500K along with a tad of saturation)

Not sure why people are complaining about the composition in this one. For me, the proportion of sky to land is spot on, and the little stream (emphasised by the line of shadow above) leads the eye into the picture. Rock and heather add foreground interest, there's an impressive and unusual sky, and the colours are warm and enticing. What's not to like?

Thanks, well I suppose that would be my thought process too. The fact is that composition is felt and so if people feel the composition is off then they cant really be wrong! Thanks for you comment though, I appreciate it
