These rocks were visited on my last trip with ~PastyGuy. We actually struck a deal for that trip that he wouldnt shoot Castell y Gwnt if I didnt shoot these rocks! This is his shot from the trip (he wasnt as fortunate with the conditions) [link]

This was the very last moment of sunset. Then next set of images had the sun crossing beneath the cloud.

For those of you intereted of getting rid of image flare, a technique I used here (and on [link]) was to shoot two or more shots in different directions in order to get the flares in different locations relative to the background. I then create a panorama of the images in PTGui, keeping the layers separate, then simply reveal the correct parts of the layers so that the flares disappear like magic!

I'd originally tried shooting this with my telephoto, but the flare was unworkably bad! [link] I cant beleive that an L lens can be that aweful but anyway...

Clever processing and a pretty stunning image but a little too much for me. The sun kind of spoils it, I think it's too Alex ;)....

**** you!

Nah just kidding, fair comment. You know how I like these images and the rocks were a perfect opportunity for it. PS the processing is quite simple on this one. Just an edge mask for the rocks surrounding the sun, nowhere else

The left side of this shot is fantastic, the right side doesn't add so much, but compositionally it all holds together really well, and it's a great scene
