An evening of wonderful clear air and the most contrasty light I have yet seen. As I have said before this is my favourite lighting condition, strong sunlight under dark clouds (which is why the rest of the landscape is so dark).

I had originally gone out to see rainbows but instead just got a drenching! Still I will happily go out in the rain for light like this.

Vixen Tor on Dartmoor is also known as the Dartmoor Sphinx and the Forbidden Tor (because it is privately owned)

The wall surrounding it is the limit of where people may go. I did shoot this from a fair distance though.
