The sunset last night was to say the least immense. Beautiful golden light followed by a pink sky after sunset.

I had actually spent the whole day shooting at Wistmans Wood and I was very tired but decided it was best to skip dinner and cycle and hike up to a couple of tors an 40 mins or so away. I am so glad I did, soon the adrenaline made me forget how tired I was!

This pool was quite unusual, right near the top of Roos Tor and yet worn as if a watercourse had passed over it. I played with the polariser trying to decide if it was best with or without reflections, eventually deciding to remove them.

Stunning image. I love the contrast between the crisp stones and the soft light in the background.

This spot would make for a beautiful place of internal contemplation. The rock structures are reminiscent of Zen pictures... but wow! definitely worth skipping dinner for. perhaps if the sky was burned just a little bit, it might make for a more striking atmosphere?

yes that would undoubtedly make a more dramatic atmosphere, but I also think it would be a false generated atmosphere and that isnt something I am willing to create. THanks
