Not easy to reshoot? Yes they are! Just aim the north star and level it! I like how the church looks like it's night time...it almost looks like a castle =p

I am not exactly sure what you mean. The composition was off because the church and pole star are in the middle. The main problem with reshooting was
1. The handwarmers I used to keep dew off the lens had cooled down and dew was starting to form.
2. The batteries had run out. I didnt have a spare set.
3. It was freezing cold. I had nothing to amuse me.
4. It was about 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning and I was tired.
5. It would have been gutting to just say that the time was wasted and do it all again

As to your comment "I like how the church looks like it's night time." thats because it is nightime :)

Thanks
i say you did a fine job, great in fact! i like the composition, and those are some nice long trails.

no no no silly, I mean it isn't overexposed like it is in other star trail scenes.

Poor composition! Bah! You're just being modest.

What film were you shooting? Aperture? Time of exposure?
Please tell me you use Nikon!

Nikon.... I dont shoot with that rubbish :D

Canon 20D d-slr 18-55mm kit lens f5-6 total exposure around 70mins and roughly 10 minute exposures adjusted in Adobe Camera RAW and mounted in PS. Taking many eposures and laying them ontop of one another allows you to keep the noise levels down.

I am thinking of buying a film camera for this purpose.

Thanks for the comment
