Red Sky at Morning...by ~Alex37

...shepherds warning

We had some quite heavy snow today (by Devon standards) after a lovely spell of weather in the morning. Many people believe there is truth in the old saying. I read an article a while back that actually backed it up, although its not an exact science!

All I know is this is one of the best skies I have had on Dartmoor and it was very exciting!

I have met quite a few photographers lately and also talked to members of the public. When talking about didication I often talked about this location. A tor that takes a while to get to and that I have visited 7 times previously without any sucess whatsoever. One thing you can guarantee though, is if you keep going, one day you will have the weather you hope for!

I discovered just how unfit I was on the way to the top. I have learnt to recognise these skies before they happen, the bottom of the clouds catch the early glow of twilight long before sunrise, that indicates how high they are. High clouds = red clouds

Of course when I saw this I still had a long way to go. I actually did a bit of self motivation to get me up there, but what I said is between me myself and I!
