well this is only 500m above sea level, so apart from the fact that I had to walk a few miles through snow it wasnt particularly hard to get. I dont travel as much as I would like, in fact I have not left the UK with my camera in the last 4 years, but I am going to Iceland in a week!
Hi Alex good to see you back and shooting again....wonderful collection of images this being my favourite, the composition is great and the light wonderful...I really like the hint of dawn on the horizon.
This is great - the lovely soft hues of blue and muted red really vibrate against the white. The clouds don't bother me. You wouldn't photoshop them out I assume - is that wrong to suggest? Must be nice to be in a good place in this weather.
I have a lot of respect for the purist approach. I'm not sure personally whether I prefer the strictness of not adulterating the actual image or instead the perfection of the image itself. I can see advantages to both approaches. Love your photography generally.
I like this shot a lot. Composition is very eye catching, love the way the stream comes into and leaves the image, as well as the posts leaning in the angle they are. Would be cleaner if the clouds weren't present, but I don't think they pose a real problem, and ruin the image at all. Well done mate!
