Although I captured many richly coloured images of Lofoten's dramatic landscape it is often the more subtle images that end up being my favourites. This image was taken looking out to the mainland from Reinebringen at sunrise.

I really like this image Alex. It is very unique....the subtle hues are wonderful and the texture from the water below the clouds gives it a very surreal quality. Well Done!!

Thanks James, the colours were wonderful, I immediately said to my girlfriend that I was about to take one of my favourite images of the trip

The textures of the water inbetween the clouds is interesting. Like part of it is too grainy, while part of it is blurry.

yes, I like the contrast of texture :)

Suggest a little more darkening of exposure (it brings out the sea and defines the clouds) and a tiny bit of sharpening to bring out the max in this photo. No saturation adjustment is necessary. Great shot!

The sharpening is good an darkening the images loses atmosphere and subtlety. I think we just have different tastes, but thanks for the critique :)

Yes. I understand the look you were going for and it does work. No "right" or "wrongs." :)
