This was the view down the valley from Glyder Fach (in Snowdonia, Wales, UK) Since this is a view to the NW I knew no sunset light would touch all but the highest peaks so I decided to make the most of the pink glow in the sky. Unfortunately the shot was a little hurried and I didnt have the time to find a better foreground, but I still like the shot.

Are you sure that's North East? It looks like the Menai Straights and Beaumaris on Anglesey in the very far distance which would make it bang on North.

Gorgeous shot though, bud. You can't imaging how much I appreciate these.

Yeah probably the best sky glow I have seen. I'm reluctant to use the term alpenglow, but I think that's what it is?

I think the foreground works hard for you here - dark rocks on either side create a gateway and the central boulders pull the eye in towards the cwm and then beyond and the touches of dark red link to the next range across and to the sky.

Interesting vertical texture in the middle ground and really good aerial perspective. I like it ...
