The colour contrast at sunrise between the frosty landscape below and the sunlit tor was fantastic. Although this isnt the most attractive grantie plug on the moor it certainly does have fantastic views. Lydford lies to the bottom with Lydford Gorge just above.

Now I've seen that shot before... the light hitting the hilltop in the background helps balance the strong forground of the tor

Wow. Just goes on for miles! Living in British Columbia, it's unimaginable for me to be able to see so far across the landscape unless I'm at the top of a high mountain.
