Inverpolly by Alex37 Inverpolly by Alex37
The view from my tent at the summit of Suilven. You dont need to read a paper whilst eating breakfast with a view like that!

One the left Cul Mor, to the right Stac Pollaidh, where I spent my last rather sucessful night....

Beautiful landscape and light....shame the sky didn't perform for you, but nevertheless, this is beautiful

Wonderfully confusing picture. At first glance it looks like small rockpools on a beach. Then one looks further, sees the mountains and realises the scale.

yeah, it is true that there is almost no concept of scale but this view is massive!

This looks almost like a 3D generated landscape absolutely surreal. I've never seen anything comparable to this. Very, very impressive. :D

Wonderful landscape. This must look amazing in autumn or when most of the flowers are in bloom. Well done, Alex. :-)

I think summer might be the best time. There arent many flowers down there relatively speaking I dont think!

ah yes, I see what you mean. I dont really think of that as a flower even though it obviously is :P I guess the entire view would be carpetted in heather actually

That must be nice, but maybe it wouldn't be that strongly visible from the top of the mountains because of the small blossoms.

Yeah we did, we had a great meal at The Caberfeidh Restaurant. I assume thats the one you mean because both Jake and I commented how good the food was.

That is stunning, humbling and magnificent. A truly ancient landscape.
Have you ever taken pictures around Glen Torridan? (Never been there, but from the books I've looked at, that is also some incredible scenery.)

Its all lightroom. WB 5500 Blacks to 10-15, gradient of half a stop or so at the top and some contrast increase. It's not a big deal really, just to reduce the haze a little

Those polariser bands look bad on my initial preview but I'll prob have a better look some time. Blended? my exposures will need to be.
