Hermandalstinden Reflectionsby ~Alex37

We pitched our tent below Hermandalstinden at about 500m. I didn’t get back to the tent until just after 11pm and with a 4am sunrise I certainly didn’t want to return to the summit of the mountain (I was happy with my images from there anyway!) Instead I walked 10m down to the mirror like waters of a small pool to photograph reflections of the mountain ridges. Here you see the highest peak on Moskenesoya, Hermandalstinden. The route to the top runs along the right edge of the mountain, it’s a tricky walk and not one that would be much fun in windy or wet conditions. The plus side of difficult path and relative isolation of the mountain is that it is relatively free of hikers, certainly in comparison to peaks in the UK!
