Shot about 6 ft from my tent half way up Stac Pollaidh (said Stack Polly). On the left Suilven, on the right Cul Mor.
Simply the best night sky I have ever seen, totally amazing. This is looking out on the edge of the milky way. Of more interest could be the pink and feint green glow on the horizon in a due north direction. Since there isnt anything that could cause light pollution in that direction I am inclined to think this may be the northern lights at the very end of the season.
The technical info is ISO6400 for 90 seconds at f4 and 17mm. Not the best noise wise so I did the best to reduce that in the landscape by averaging exposures. Obviously you cant do that with the stars because they are moving!
