From darkness by Alex37 From darkness by Alex37
It's been a while since my last Dartmoor image. Apart from the fact that I am not back in Devon now, I just havent had any sucessful attempts lately, and I have tried! I think sometimes I get to selective about the weather, but thats another story!

I camped with my gilfriend overnight at an abandoned farm on Dartmoor an had a fire in a well established fire place. It really was brilliant and I will probably repeat the experience soon. The tor I had gone out to shoot was in cloud when we arrived at 5 in the morning, which is always annoying when you've made the effort to get up!

We hung around in the bit in the hope that things would change, and just as we were walking back tot he tent the light started to break through int he valley below.

Not my usual colour palette this, and I usually stay away from deep shadows, but this shot warranted it, even if it does feel like the work of *sassaputzin to me!

I think I need to stop looking at your gallery dude, it's making me pine for the days of living in the UK.

Stunning shot, really reminiscent of the Pennines :)

Well worth the effort I would say. I love the way the wall just leads you into the image, great lines there and a fantastic light capture.

... donīt I know that situation well. You set up and spend hores taking shots (or hours waiting for the good weather) and just as you are about to go you snap one last quick shot off, and itīs the best one from the whole day! Glad you stayed for this one :)
