The focus of my trip to Iceland was to photograph a view over Alftavatn that I had missed on my previous visit to the area the year before due to bad weather. My plan was to hike across a ridge over a couple of days to give myself the best
change of seeing the view in good light. Although I didnít get a sunrise or sunset in the 4 opportunities I had, I did get a fair share of excellent visibility and some nice light too. This shot was taken not far from my first night's camp. Although it is only a mile from the Laugavegur, Iceland's most famous hiking trail, I saw absolutely no one for 2 and a bit days, the solitude was great. The final image is a whopping 350 megapixels from 24 images shot in 2 rows of 12 vertical frames.
