Very beautiful! The light is very clear :)

I would get rid of that little cloud (or dust?) on the left edge of the image though ;)

It's fields ;) but beautifully lit and well balanced compositionally. I think the empty sky actually works here firstly because it doesn't detract from the amount of detail you have in the scene and secondly because of the interseting colour and subtle tone. it is a shame about the phone line but hey.

thanks Jake I'm really happy with this one, its exactly the kind of shot I went for since I knew the skies would be clear. I was actually planning to exclude the sky, but when its pink you can just about get away with it :)

it does in my opinion, though it's not my kind of shot, it remains a piece of art, because the commercial aspects didn't compromise the artistic ones.

If you don't mind me asking, What kind of camera do you use?

I dont mind you asking, but it does come with the implication that you comehow beleive my camera makes a difference. Lets just say that you could take this shot with and DSL with a decent telephoto lens attached.

The reason I asked is because I am looking a new cameras and lenses. So thanks this helps a lot.

If you can afford a D-SLR, then look at one of the lower end cameras from either Canon or Nikon. Also consider older second hand cameras. They will offer you far better value for money. Most of the images in my gallery are taken with a Canon 20D, which you can buy second hand for $300 now.

Thanks so much. This is a big help. Do you suggest any sites like Newegg.com?

Well I live int he UK as you ahve gathered, so whilst I am aware of Newegg I cant comment on it! I think the best approach is to go into your nearest camera store and say that you are after a second hand camera (if you are) and see what they can offer. Otherwise I have bought most of my gear second hand from the states through fredmiranda.com. KEH also has an excellent reputation but you will pay more than you would buying direct from the seller [link]=DC&BCC=3&CC=2&CCC=1&BCL=&GBC=&GCC=

If you want to buy new I beleive most american photograhers who buy online use BHPhoto and Adorama. Amazon sometimes has good deals also.

Well then I guess it's a good thing there is a camera store down the street. I tend to forget its there a lot. It's not a big store. Thank you so much and I will keep all this in mind when I go camera shopping. :D

Hope I can get out at this time with a friend this weekend, if I can catch up on my sleep from my NY trip, and feel better. *fingers crossed*

'catching up on sleep' and getting up at 4.30am do not go hand in hand!

Stop trying to be a smart arse, it doesn't suit ya. I've got all day, and night to catch up on some sleep, as well as tomorrow. I never said when on the weekend I was going to get up this early, I might not even bother with the way I'm feeling.

Cool.. I;ve only ever got up early for sunrise once, and it wasn't the most spectacular! Off to Snowdon for a couple of days next monday so might get out of the tent early for a sunrise over snowdonia.. and 17 days in Scotland should offer plenty of chances too :D Cheers!

Young people who appreciate nature still go camping, but I do see more 40+ campers on the moor than sub 40. Enjoy france!
