Artist's Comments

Just before a mini blizzard hit. I was a bit worried at the time because I was a long walk from home and my clothing wasnt really sufficient!

This is a subject I have photographed many times before at merrivale. I went here because I was the only nearby location that I could guarantee I could get nice shots in the snow.

Gorgeous in it's simplicity I love the composition and the suns position (and the fact that it appeared at all) especially.

Light waits for no man. You're either out there, or you miss it. Forever.
Great photo man
i think a wider crop would be better.

What's with all these vertical slithers!?

Like it Alex. Nice simple shot.

I dont know, I just like to crop shot to the dimensions that work best for me. In this particular case I actually shot it with the cop in mind. Its something a little different. The old 2x3 +rule of thirds compositions always work well, but its nice to do things a little different from time to time.
Thanks, I actually cropped it this way from a wider shot, I like it this way, call me crazy! Thanks for giving your opinion though, I do appreciate it.

Alex
it was fff-freezing and not having gloves turned out to be a massive error! fortunately the sun came out an hour later and everything was rosy again

Thanks
